Janet began her career in the hotel industry working across South Africa. She then moved into the field of corporate education in 1996, setting up the Group Five Academy in 2006 and the Group Five Construction Skills Academy in 2008. The latter in collaboration with the Development Bank of South Africa.
Janet believes in learning interventions anchored in systems thinking and action learning – that result in sustainable organisational learning. Past work history includes design, development and implementation of work-based learning programmes for large blue-chip clients including Woolworths, Metropolitan, Standard Bank and Rand Water.
She is also a specialist in adult learning in the corporate environment and has experience in managing and dealing with people at all levels and says she is driven by a strong motivation to achieve excellence.
Janet has an executive MBA from UCT as well as a PHD from the University of Pretoria. She has worked as an external MBA examiner for UCT, GSB and the University of Pretoria and as an assessor for PGDip for Henley and UCT GSB.
“I am excited to move into this new chapter at Henley Business School Africa. It is an excellent business school with international pedigree,” she said.
