Jurek is Executive Director for Henley Centre for Entrepreneurship at Henley Business School (HBS) and Entrepreneur in Residence at London Business School (LBS), where he mentors start-up businesses on a range of topics including business idea development, business model creation, customer development, talent acquisition and management and senior management team development. Jurek is also business adviser to several start-up businesses and non-executive chairman of several small companies. He speaks on entrepreneurship and has delivered workshops including ‘I Want to Start My Own Company’, ‘Build Powerful Selling Skills’, ‘Key Account Management’ and ‘Develop Your Personal Brand’.
Jurek is module convener for ‘Understanding Sales’ module at HBS where he has launched several initiatives including the IDEAFEST Business Idea Competition, Business Idea and Start-Up Clinic and the Entrepreneurship Society. Whilst at LBS Jurek designed and launched the Business Incubator Programme that supports start-up businesses transition to successful trading operations.
Jurek has also delivered several workshops at Kings College London including ‘Commercialise your Research’, ‘Write a Great Business Plan’ and ‘Customer Development Workshop’ at the J&J Digital Health Masterclass. Jurek developed the new ‘Winning and Developing Customers’ one day masterclass. He judges business plan competitions at LBS, Kings College and Hult International Business School and case competitions at J&J and Abbott. Jurek specialises in life sciences and over 20 years was CEO of several private and UK main market and AIM listed companies before which he was sales and marketing director at a FTSE 100 medical devices company. He has also held numerous NED positions in that time.
